Every head, shaft and grip is sorted and weighed for an exacting gram-weight and MOI match. All irons are set for loft and lie prior to assembly. Each golf club is pre-assembled and each shaft is frequency matched one at a time prior to final cutting for length and before final assembly to ensure the perfect stiffness progression.

Although we utilize the finest performance shafts in the industry, shafts are not perfectly round, straight or uniform. We “spine-align” all of our custom shafts to orient the shaft in the best possible position relative to the target resulting in straighter more consistent shots.

We also offer “zone profiling” on our shafts so that we are fitting the correct shaft stiffness in the butt section, mid section and tip section of the shaft. Have you ever wondered why two shafts that are supposedly the same flex don’t feel the same? This is where zone profiling is applied. Most fitting systems and frequency matching machines are only measuring the stiffness of the butt end of the shaft under the grip area. However, the middle and tip sections of the shaft may be radically different in stiffness between two different brands or models of shafts.

That’s why, for instance, two supposedly identical “R-flex” shafts may not feel or play the same – they are different in the middle and/or the tip. Our zone profiling process will identify that and eliminate the guesswork about why you like certain shafts and hate others.

In summary, each finished custom golf club at Perfect Fit Golf is built to your personal requirement for loft and lie; cut to the optimum playing length determined in your fitting; frequency matched and profiled for exacting stiffness; spine-aligned for the truest possible performance on each shot; MOI balanced for a consistent feel from club to club; and finally, each grip is installed with care and sized to your individual hand size and feel requirements.
